Dr Byron von Hoff BVSc GC SAUA
Byron graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2007 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. He worked as a small animal general practice veterinarian in busy clinics around Melbourne’s South East for 10 years, and then divided his attention between GP and emergency medicine until 2021.
Throughout his career Byron has worked to hone his skills in ultrasonography, being fortunate to have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge through frequent use and study. He has completed a Graduate Certificate course in Small Animal Ultrasound through Melbourne University. In 2021 he took his passion for sonography on the road, in the form of Melbourne Mobile Veterinary Sonography, aiming to enable vet clinics to provide timely, affordable, quality ultrasound scans for their clients. He enjoys being able to employ his knowledge and skill in providing this useful puzzle piece in medical work-ups.
Dr Amy Chidgey BSc DVM GC SAUA
Amy graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
She has worked in busy GP clinics cross Melbourne, loving the variety the job has to offer, and thriving on getting the best outcome for each patient and their owners. Taking things out of her comfort zone, Amy has also undertaken some volunteer stints at a desexing clinic in Fiji and a veterinary clinic in the Galápagos Islands, highlights of her career so far!
During her time in general practice, she began forming an interest in diagnostic imaging and completed a Graduate Certificate of Small Animal Abdominal Ultrasonography in 2023. The interest developed into a passion as she realised this was something she wanted to do on a regular basis. Amy joined Melbourne Mobile Veterinary Sonography in 2024 and is very keen to get to know and to help vets and pets in Melbourne.
